...The researchers looked at the medical records of children with COVID-19 at 42 children's hospitals across the country before and after the release of national guidelines in 2020 to see how pediatricians' prescribing habits changed. Although the use of recommended medications quickly increased, pediatricians still prescribed medications in accordance with the guidelines in only 55% to 82% of cases, depending on the type of medication and severity of the infection.
